One point perspective is the least involved of the types of perspective. Again, perspective is a technique used to show depth and space on a picture plane. Linear perspective is the process of using rendering and lines to create the illusion of depth on the picture plane.
Assignment #1
I will demonstrate in class on Monday October 21st how to make shape in to three dimensional objects using perspective. Those who are not here may see the text version below.
On a 18"x12" piece of paper, draw 15 shapes in one point perspective. Draw 6 above the horizon line, 6 below and 3 on the line. Make 2 of the shapes stack on top of each other. Add windows properly to two objects. Erase all the guidelines (orthogonal lines). After you have drawn all forms using proper perspective you will then add color using colored pencils. You must remember what happens to color as it seems farther back in space (think tone and shade)Focus on craftsmanship (quality work is imperative).
Due at the end of class! That means 4 days to complete it!
