3 Objects in Space
The students were to bring in 3 objects that they love, all the same size.
The three objects were to be drawn in space as if they were tossed in the air and a picture was taken. The students were to study the texture of the objects and use it to make the object appear to have three dimensional qualities.
Think about the objects and how you will be able to draw the items in mid air. Also, consider how you will use the space does one of your objects move through out the picture plane (like a necklace, ribbon or chain) Will you be able to spend a lot of time and effort on the objects?
Requirements
* three objects need to be in the picture plane (at least partially)
*they need to over lap at least one other of the objects
*they need to effectively occupy the space (think about how negative space can balance)
*arrange the objects so that they are point of the composition, negative space is not the focus, but can help!
Value needs to be added to help the object look three dimensional- you need to have at least 10 values present
This project should take you at least 12 1/2 hours ( you have 15 in class days)
Look at the work below...this is work from Kenyon students! This is what I expect.
Look at the contrast (light to dark), 20 values to be quality, blend in lines, neatness and realism counts!
