Lesson #1 Types of Line
I gave a general run down about learning to draw on the first day of class. I want to reiterate that drawing is not a ingrained talent that some people are just born with. Drawing is a learned skill that some learn easier than others.
The first lesson is very basic, but keep in mind that you will use this all year.
Line is the most commonly used Element of art. the Elements of Art are the building blocks, or tools of art. You put them together in many ways to create interesting compositions.
The definition of line is a continuous mark made on a paper. There are many ways to create art using just line and artists have done this for many years.
The Worksheet is found in the link below (those who missed the class for an excused absence may turn it in completed on the day of your return with an admit slip). Please Read this carefully and complete it by the end of the period.
