Artist Research Reports and Presentations
The second part of the class brings higher expectations, use of technology, and color usage.
The student will choose one classically known artist from history and one who is more modern and may not be well known. They will create a Power Point presentation to give to the class. They will also create a pamphlet (this is like a menu for the presentation that you will do) There will be an example available to see in class as well as at the top of this page.
After each student signs up for an artist to research they may not change. Students will research the life and work of the chosen artist and keep track of the sites used for the bibliography page. When you are doing research read all that you can. This information that is read will help you talk about the artists and the work they created so you won't just being reading the bullet points, this will enable you to converse about the information and answer questions.
Student will create a Power Point presentation on the artist and the information sheet.

You must email your presentation to me by 8:00 am that morning.
Requirements:
Report
your name, date, and period
Artist's name and dates of birth and death
A quote from the artist (if no quote is available find something they are well known for)
4 examples of work that the artists did with the title and date properly labeled (title of work in Italics or underlined)
next to each work you need at least 3 bullets of information about that work
Power Point presentation
picture of artist and dates they lived
works of art (at least the four from the pamphlet, and others too)
quote from the artist and any information that we should know as learners
Be prepared to converse about the artist, make sure you know a lot about their work (onlookers will be asking you questions)
Last page will need to be you bibliography in MLA style
